Domino Jewellery for Valentine's Day

Greetings all from a new member - I can't tell you how helpful (and entertaining) you have all been to this neophyte woodworker.

By way of introduction, I thought I'd share with you a cheeky little alternative use for your dominos. With Valentine's Day fast approaching I have neither the time nor the skill to make a decent jewellery box, so this morning I thought that perhaps I could make the jewels instead...

As you can see from the photos (if I've managed to upload them properly), I've left the paintwork rather shoddy and rough. While this might appear lazy, it is, of course, an intentional and cunning ploy on my part to secure permission to order the Rotex 150 on Friday...  ;D

I've had a couple of women in my life tell me I'd look good in an earring. The suggestions have usually been something like a small diamond stud, and I almost did it this summer when I had a shaved head, just so I could look like "Mr Clean".

However... I think I could wear me one of those branded Domino earrings...

For a woman to wear these earrings, there's one thing she needs to have even more than a mohawk...pierced ears! Imagine my surprise when I turned over this morning to discover that (after several years) I hadn't realised that the woman in question is sans piercings  :-[.

Oh well, at least she has a watertight excuse for never wearing them...

I guess I'll just have to send them on to Dan 'Mr Clean' Lyke  ;D.
