I made these for a friend of mine who has a very specific idea when it comes to his DVD collection.

The pair of DVD towers are made completely from 3/4 solid oak. The original idea was to make them with box joint and finish them with natural oil finish to show off the wood grains and joinery, but he changed his mind before the wood got cut, and now they are GF water base black stain with water base HP satin finish to match the rest of his furniture, and the joinery method changed from box joint to Festool Domino.

So, 160 dominos later, they look like two DVD towers as in the pictures. The towers are designed to be modular, and can be knock down into individual boxes for storage or transport.

The slots were cut with the domino wings set at 100mm, all exact cut on both side, I got lucky and didn't mess up any cut, so they fit correctly and align perfectly.

Thanks for reading.

Thanks Gary!

My wife saw them when I finished them, and she said she would like to have a pair for our house, thus, I have to make another pair.  :)

Thanks Guys.

I was thinking about how to measure and cut the angle of the base brackets for a few days, before I realized that I can just lay the assembly down flat and measure the angle between the bench surface and boxes, quite simple. First time build these so it took a lot longer, but I did put a lot of work to my Domino machine, which I enjoyed.
