Domino mortices not horizontal.Anyone seen this before?I still love the thing!

Welcome to the forum.  Although only you can decide what works best for you, many issues similar to yours have been helped out by some suggestions about user technique.  You may also want to take a look at this thread if you haven't already.  Another domino thread

In one of my posts in that thread I listed the most common causes as explained to us by the Festool trainers.  My problems come when I cut my slots too slowly.  It is counter intuitive to me to go slightly faster for more accuracy, but the engineers did try to allow for the natural tendency of the cut to wander or tilt based on the forces of the rotating and oscillating bit entering the wood.  Going slowly counteracts what they designed to eliminate that potential issue.

Is it possible that your machine is out of alignment?  Sure.  You are lucky that you do have options to you here in the US regarding returns or service.
