Domino on ebay

I'd need a big discount off retail to buy from someone with 0 feedback selling an expensive tool.  I bet bidding gets over $600 at the end of it.

1. Unit is in Thailand
2. 220 V
3. Strange note about original owner. $10 is big money in Thailand.
4. Price is in Australian dollars....
5. User with 0 feedback and one  item for sale...

just thoughts....

Regards,
VictorL

Just curious now that you mention that its 220 volt...

Could one convert a 220 tool to 110 for use in North  America??

It's going for less than half the price of a new one. That has to be worth the risk for somebody. This is not like a Louis Vuitton handbag, I mean you don't get fake Festool Dominos.

I don't have any personal interest in the auction but just because the item is located in Thailand does not mean the seller is not genuine. Hafele sell Festool in Thailand and there is even a Festool Thailand page on Facebook!

http://www.facebook.com/festoolthailand?v=photos

I would imagine that the currency is denominated in A$ because it is the most likely destination for the tool in South East Asia.

Anyway, good luck to the eventual buyer. I have spent far more than $300 on garbage tools that I regretted after one use or broke after two uses so I think this ebay auction is a good risk to take on.

Not something that I would bid on. There is no info on the seller! On top of 0 sales and comments! Been burned once on E-bay for a laptop. And the guy had a good ratting and comments. Got part of my money back but not all of it.

I think the auction was changed to private listing between last night and today .. wonder what was up with that.  The way bidder's IDs are partly hidden by Ebay, why would anyone care to hide the ID further ? I have a bad feeling for the "winner" of that auction.

He Guys, i bid on the item and was really suspicious about it for days. How's this:

I sent 2 emails a couple of days out=no reply [eek]
Got the sellers details+phone number=disconected....... [blink]
I was the 12th highest eventual bidder THEN 5 hours after auction close i get a  2ND CHANCE OFFER.   .For  A$ 700.00 .........lol
Accepted it to see what would happen. i haven't paid.........sent a "ask for invoice" and also asked for details phone, address etc...
No reply.Scam scam Stay clear.
Paypal said they would cover item,....  stuff that.
