Domino Question

Hi guys,

I have a question regarding dominos, are they designed to swell on glue contact like biscuits?

I have just ordered the df500 for 9 shaker style internal doors, I will be making for my home. I am sure I will use it at work also but this is its first function.

Also does the guy that makes the domiplate ship to the uk?

Dominos do swell, but not as much as biscuits.

Both Domi os and biscuits are made from beechwood, but i do find that Dominos swell less than biscuits.

I've seen biscuits radiate thru a piece, but never a Domino even when exceeding the recommended 1 to 3 general rule of what thicness of Domino to use relative to the thickness of stock involved.

You don't need dominos to swell because they are bloody tight as they are.  

It's highly recommended to sand a few drill some holes though either end so you can pull them out easily with a screw driver for when you use them for dry assembly.

I have brought the df500 and domino systainer. Haven't tried it yet. Van issues some Wally decided to crash into me, so it's off being repaired, leaving me with a shiny hire one and lots to sort out.

Cheers van will be sorted for Tuesday, insurance company got there act together. Other guy admitted complete fault really honest bloke but still seems to baffle my insurance company. The garage doing the work does replacement vehicles but insurance company decided to hire me a van 3 towns away.
