So I was doing a long panel glue-up (about 7 feet long) for a white oak plant stand.. I used standard biscuits for alignment. When I cut the panel to final length....I found this:

Oops.
So, since I still had the cutoff from that very same panel, I drilled out two small mortises with the domino, and made my own loose tenons with the scrap cutoff:

Some close-ups...the repair is only noticeable from a distance that's closer than anyone would ever see it:
