Domino side extensions and 4mm dominos

A lot of times I find myself using 4mm dominos and wanting to space them using the extensions with pins. Problem is that the pins seems to be 5mm...

Anyone have a suggestion on how to work around this? Right now I'm resorting to actually marking a center line on the work pieces, but it feels like there should be a better solution.

My guess is that the vast majority of users mark the center lines and then domino.

i have those extensions but rarly use them. i always just mark and plunge. i usually use the middle width setting for such jobs and the narrow width for the first slot that alligns the width.
i find that it is very easy to screw up the allignment with the extenstions.
