I recently bought a Domino XL, where has this tool been all my working life, It's blown me away on how good it is, Ive used pocket holes, biscuits, dowels etc and nothing has come close to how easy the domino system is. Even going to get a 500 as well for the smaller jobs.
I unfortunately caught a screw (one that I had put in) with the 8mm bit, after about cutting 10 dominos, I did cuss a bit. Was wondering if there are any uses for it, seems a shame to bin it, could it be sharpened? I know that this would affect its cutting depth, or could it be reformed into a 6 or 5mm?

Welcome to the world of Domino. I have both tools and use the 500 about 80% of the time. As you get more experience, you will find more uses for the Dominos. The accessories from Seneca are worthwhile.

When I have broken a bit, the carbide tip snaps off and the cutter is useless. I keep extras of all the bits and extra extras for the #4 and #5 bits. I think there is another supplier that offers solid carbide cutters. Never used any cutters other than Festool so can't rate the others.
