I've been lurking here for sometime and now I have good things to share. I received one of the coveted tester Domino XL's on Friday and have started reviewing it.

The bulk of the information will be on my blog: http://kjoneswoodworking.blogspot.com/

I'd love to here other tester's feelings and here what the rest of you want to know about this new beast!

I'm thinking "Festool green with envy" will be a very common complexion round here  [wink]

Ooh - first post ... !

[welcome] [welcome] [welcome]

I have been dreading this day for quite some time.  [crying]

While I know I do not need this, I will probably want it.  [embarassed]

Want to take a trip away from the cold and to beautiful sunny California? You can help me build a fence gate.

OK, actually it's raining here today (finally)

Congratulations!
I also have an animal, I still feed him a little tree  [smile]
I think he feels full on my next project.

The Bundesadler has landed here too,  and I am nearly speechless ;D
You have all seen these in pictures and videos,  but holding this machine and plunging the first test cuts is truly a Zen experience.
If you think you want one now,  just wait until you meet the XL700 in person.

If you haven't started saving-up for yours,  I highly advise getting on it at once ;D

I realize we'll be in the "honeymoon" period for a few days,  but even so,  I cannot think of another tool which has impressed me like this.
this machine offers some INCREDIBLE potential,  and will dramatically change what we consider "done right" in numerous applications.

For the Test Users:  I suggest starting out with some smaller cuts,  and keep in mind, this machine can plunge 70mm! heed the warnings and read the manual,  because a "nice" as this tool is,  it has no mercy and no regret for anything stuck in it's path...

Anyone have an idea of the street price is expected to be?  You know, in case I get overcome by tool lust and/or have a gaping sys 5 sized hole to fill in a Sysport...

Or even worse, find an actual project I could use it on!

Shane posted in another post that that information is not available yet.

Want to start a pool to see who is closest to the actual Festool list price?  I'm going with $1181.25 U.S. dollars.   [unsure]

It is pretty sweet, but for that kind of money I can buy a chain mortiser and tenoner with cope heads and still have money left for some ice cream.
