My fault. I build by sight a lot. Not a lot of detailed plans hanging around. I usually sketch what I'm thinking on paper, maybe photocopy a couple of pictures that served as inspiration for one detail or another, probably sketchup enough of the mass to get important lengths, and then go at it.
Its the Suzuki violin method of woodworking I guess. You don't have to be able to actually read the music. If you hear it, you can play it.
So I was rethinking my thought processes when I dry fit my little pembroke together and said "ah, that looks like when I get the top cut theres going to be a lot of overhang . . . that ain't right" and discovered that my sketchup drawing said cut the sides shoulder to shoulder 1' 9" 3/16 and I cut them very precisely at 19 3/16"
*sigh*
Oh well. Its just a couple of apron pieces.
Even when you're teaching yourself, sometimes you have to pay tuition.
