I am using the CXS a lot but don't have any other Festool drills.  I'm still using my DeWalt 14.4V drills and drivers for most work, and I still have a few serviceable batteries for them.

So I am not in a huge rush for Festool drills, but I am tempted by the discounts on the T15 and Ti15 products.  Of course I am also wondering if it would be better to wait for the replacement drills...

Is there any information on what the differences and compatibilities or otherwise will be?

Jeff

The differences in the new vs. previous drills are the batteries (40% more capacity), the charger is thinner, and in a SYS 2 instead of a SYS 1.

Thanks.  Are the chargers and batteries interchangeable / interoperable between the old and the new?  40% is quite a bit more.

Not quite sure why they would use a larger systainer if the charger is thinner.

Jeff

Yes, the chargers and batteries are forward/backward compatible.
