Drill Press Table - What do you have

Guys,
I am beyond frustrated with the lack or difficulty to clamp on my drill press - ruined too many projects.

What are you using and what do you like?

Frank

I have a Rockler table.  To be honest, I don't recommend it.  The fence should ride on T-Tracks.  Instead it rides in a series of slots that limit the adjustability of it.  If I had to do it over again I would get something else.

I have the woodpecker drill press table and fence.  Been very happy with it.

+1.  I did have to make a block to raise the Woodpeckers table above the stock iron table to avoid interference with the crank and lost about 3" to that.  Then again, my press has only 2-3/4" of quill travel.

That's what I use on my drill press plus a machinist clamping set:

Grizzly H7979 Compound Slide Table, 5-1/2-Inch x 12-Inch

I have a boice crane drill press, gear drive, with a 18" by 24" table with slots.
I cover it with off cuts of plywood and screw fences and stop where and when I need them.
Great drill press
Rick

I have the Woodpeckers table, standard fence, and high fence. Their clamps work well with the table. All integrate well with my old Delta drill press. Good product.

Slartibartfass  damn you need a Bridgeport instead of a Drill Press for those goodies...May I ask how big is your drill press

Gotta retire first which is still far off... Need to get 4 kids thru college first and not go bankrupt along the way.

Nice drill press!!!  I have the Jet 17" floor model, which has handled anything and everything I've every thrown at it, yet, keep drooling over the Powermatic PM2800B.  [eek]. I keep trying to rationalize how I can get that Powermatic into the shop and my wife not notice it.  Thus, my hesitation....  ???

I can't count the number of times I almost pulled the trigger on the Woodpecker Drill Press Table during the past couple of months.  Their old style I think was better as it was a little deeper and had a recess for the post, allowing a little more room for the fence.

My hesitation was from reading some negative reviews with the table being cupped or bowed, has anyone found this to be an issue?  Anyone find the table top too thin?  I'm on the cusp of buying the top, or just buying all the accessories and making my own top in the style I want.

I may as well go ahead and buy one now, too many people posting favorable reviews, may as well join the crowd......

I built the one in ShopNotes issue 94, I like it. The dust collection works very well with my Midi fixed into the dust port on the side.
