Looking to get another drill set that has other functions. Was looking at the Festool Cordless Drill T 15+3 Li 4.2 and Set for $585. Anyone have this and what do you like/hate about it? I own a Hilti set now for heavy duty work but need something slightly lighter and more versatile when it comes to cabinet/ trim work. I have many Festool products but have never used the drills. Any insight would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

I have the 15+3 and love it. If your using it for cabinetry and trim how's about a CXS set? Great little compact drill, decent power and a right angle chuck too! I've got both and love them both.

I grabbed a T12 kit in the recent recon sale and love it. I actually had a brand new T15 but returned it so I could get the T12 kit and a CT MIDI from the sale. Anyways the Festool drills are worth every penny and I think the T15 is the perfect compliment to a heavier duty 18 or higher drill. The T12 suits me perfectly as I don't do much heavy duty jobs but ever once in a while I put it through its paces and it still packs a good punch and the T15 takes it to a whole 'nother level. I find myself using the right angle chuck a ton as I'm usually building furniture or scrapping/refurbishing old furniture. The Essentric chuck is nice too, although I haven't had to use it all that much.

The balance of the T drills are amazing and the overall ergonomics is fantastic. It's really impressive how light they are considering the power all three of them put out.

just to put this out there, the CXS is another fantastic drill that compliments larger heavier duty drills  [big grin]

For cabinet/trim work I would look at the CXS.  I have a CXS and T18.  I find myself using the CXS more than the T18 for that type of work.
