Drills, drills, drills!

Dan,

Pozidrive are common with Blum's cabinet hardware and others.  That's probably the reason.  Also, Christian had posted a while ago about the issues Festool had with coming up with Robertson drivers.
Ken,

Good points.  For cabinet making and installation, the bit set and the CXS would be very nice.  For my needs, they don't line up well.

The bit set contains a lot of things I don't need or already have.  That said, it might be nice have a Sys 1 with that insert.    Regarding the CXS, it doesn't fit my needs either.  When the C15 Plus is available for pre-order (a week or so), I'm ordering one to replace my old C12 (awesome drill, but the new one is better).  Since I already have all of the chucks, the new C15 leverages my C12 chucks.

Regards,

Dan.

I purchased my T15 in January and held off buying any accessories for it, because I was waiting for the Centrotec Set. Unfortunately, I am a little disappointed with the set.  I'm not sure what I was exactly expecting, but it certainly wasn't a ton of bits I will probably never use.  I could do without the hand driver, Centrotec chuck, BH60 bit holder, both socket adapters, hook drive, slotted bits, Pozi bits, and Torx bits.  I would have preferred to see a self-centering bit, a square bit (I dream about it every day that Festool will think of the square bit loving Americans), and imperial brad point bits instead metric brad point bits.  Oh well, I guess I'll go ahead and purchase the stuff I want and buy the C12 non-set when it comes out in October.

The set does come with both metric and Imperial brad point bits.  You get a 5 piece set of stubby metric bits (3-8mm) and the 8-Piece countersink and brad point set 1/8"-1/2", 496942

Hi Brice - I'm glad you caught my error.  I meant to say Imperial twist bits instead of brad point bits.  I noticed the two sets of brad point bits and I would have preferred a set of Imperial brad points and a set of Imperial twist bits.  I guess beggars can't be choosers, but I will continue dreaming about the ideal Centrotec set for me.  I am now leaning heavily on purchasing the drill accessories I need separately and getting a basic C12 when it comes out in October.  Either way, Festool will continue to get my hard earned money ;D
