Anyone use one? Does it work as advertise?  My primary use would be indexing cabinet boxes.

It works.

Not the same as a construction boring machine though.  It's about as accurate, just slower.

Thanks for your reply. I assume you have actually used one. Any idea if one could make this work with a Festool vacuum?

It works with a Festool style hose.

The cutters build up a lot of heat in use.  It's possible to "cook" the carbide if you drill too many holes too fast in hard material.

I found more affordable cutters than the Mafell ones from Routerbitworld on Amazon.  CMT I think. 8mm shanks.

I have a DD40P and it does work as advertised.  I use it with the CT vacuum and the hose fits fine.  Unlike the Domino, you plunge this as fast as you can to avoid overheating the bits.  The one quirk that takes getting used to is the bottom hangs down and is not flat like a biscuit joiner or the Domino.  All in all, this is a fine machine.

I forgot to mention that CMT does make bits specific for the Duo-Doweler that are less expensive than the Mafell bits.  Tom Bellemare had some of these drop shipped to my door directly from Italy just because he is that kind of guy [wink].

Yes, I noticed that in the video. Both the fence and the part that hangs down has the tab the line up with the Dowel template.
