Dust Captain, the German Dust Deputy

Anyone use the Dust Captain? I discovered it checking out the Starmix iPulse vac.

The Captain looks like a superior version of the DD. Ports are 50mm.

My chief criticism of the DD is that the input port is small so the hose from the vac has to fit over that pipe resulting in debris build up

The special form of the top of the Dust Captain seems better...

And the screw bosses at the bottom seem more secure.

So just a bare plastic cyclone....  There's quite a few of these "cheapies" floating around in cyberspace.  Wouldn't an all metal equivalent be more robust, if a tad more expensive?  I've always been a bit dubious of some plastics' longevity in long-term UV exposure.  Even Festo/ol's hose garages get pretty brittle over a few years.
