dust extraction hose

Last Friday my dust extraction hose seperated from the hose connector at the point it connects to the tool(Domino).Upon closer inspection, it appears to be threaded into the connector.I had no luck reattaching it and had to resort to duct tape.I am a Festool Junkie and take great care of my tools and refuse to lend them to my help.This is driving me nuts, has anybody had success reattaching the hose to the connector in the fashion it was designed to be attached ? Please enlighten me.
