Fine Folks of FOG,
I - like a fool - left my CT 26 unattended near an interior wall that was being torn down on a recent job. Long story short, my fancy dust extractor tried its best to keep the wall from falling all the way to the floor... The unit still works but the plastic casing of the hose compartment and the wheels are destroyed. It will be relegated to a sanding station back at the shop and I'm in the market for a new dust extractor for jobsite work. I know they redid the MIDI a year or so ago and I don't want to buy a new 26 or 36 if they are about to come out with bluetooth models for the bigger boys. I did some searching but didn't see anything mentioning if/when they might do that. Before I go try to find one in-stock somewhere, does anyone know if there are updated models of the 26 or 36 en route or is it safe to buy an existing model? I can hold out a few months without wheels or a handle on my dust extractor.

The bigger units do have Bluetooth by way of a drop in module. If you want to wait for that to be an included item like on the Midi, it may be a while.

Hartville Tool has the CT26 in stock now, had 6 of them when I ordered one yesterday.  Just fyi.

I've had the add-on bluetooth module in my CT26 for the last couple years.  It works just as well as the on board BT with my newer MIDI.
Something else to consider - if they do redesign the CT26 it will probably have the membrane style switches.  Some people have strong feelings about those.

Also, if you get a CT26 and need a BT module I have an extra one I'm selling. :D
