So what is so Festo-stylish and Dutch meaning to you in this case?

OK - that is nice.

What dimensions did you use?

24" wide, 30.5" tall, 13.25" deep.  It was designed to fit my tools.  The angle at the top is 45 degrees.

I used the Dutch Tool chest designs popularized by Christopher Schwarz and modified to fit my taste.  The paint color scheme is using Festool colors to match my MFTC workbench.  The cabinet lock on the top is similar to the latches used on systainers, but is made from brass.  The door style is different from the Dutch style, and will double as a place to clip cutlists and designs as well as serve as temporary tool racks.

Nice tool chest; hope you'll get many years use out of it.

The only thing I'd have done different is with the selection of the stock used in the rails of the doors.  The usual practice is to make the lower rails from one piece of stock and the upper ones from another one, so the grain flows from one side to the other.  In fact, if you have wide enough stock, the very best thing to do is to cut all four pieces of rail from the same board.  You first rip that board in half and use the "top" piece for the top rails and the "bottom" piece for the two bottom rails.

Additionally, the same concept can be used for the stiles; what I usually do is have adjacent pieces cut from the same board.  In your case, if I didn't have one board wide enough to make all four stiles from, I'd rip one in half to make the two outer pieces (that is, the left stile of the left door and the right stile of the right door) and another one ripped in half to make the two inside (left door's right stile and right door's left stile) stile pieces.

Keep up the good work and thanks for sharing with us.

Agreed; the wood used was scrap left over from my MFTC project.  I have a beautiful piece of spalted maple I was tempted to use.

I finished the marking tool and block plane tray!  Mitered dovetails are quite tricky - I will take another stab at this later down the line...

...and a clip from Lee valley for the right hand door.  I just need to add a small pencil/tool tray to the bottom and I am done!

Great collection of tools and a nice home for them.  Love the various areas you have outfitted for custom holding of your collection.  The 45 degree angle is a great way to expose a lot of tools for easy access.

Thanks for sharing!

The project has really worked out for me, thanks! After the office build, I will be building a rolling stand to make the chest work like a Dutch WRC 1000... Design is in the works.
