Dave,
I have tried these and they are much better than my DeWalt pencils. Actually I think DeWalt ripped this "pencil" idea off from Festool.![]()
In all seriousness, why do we have to pay for promotional items? Shouldn't businesses be glad that we will advertise their products free of charge, let alone have to pay for them? Why to I have to buy a decal that advertises "Ford" on the winshield or "Oakley" in my rear window? Why does my golf bag have to advertise "Titleist"? Why do I have to buy a bumper sticker that says that I have been to the "Snake Farm" ? Shouldn't these all be free?

Neill,
With the larger items, Ford, etc. I agree - notice they don't charge you for putting the dealership decal/license plate frame on your car (two items I remove immediately upon arriving home - partly out of principle but mostly because these items detract from the car's appearance). They just kinda "show up" on the car.
I realize that you're mostly ranting, but aside from the abuse of programs offering free items, the cost of these trinket, promotional-type items is dictated by free markets. If there's a buyer, there's a market.

We had to account for how we got each weapon and what we did with it. And we had to keep those records forever, turning them in if/when we gave up our license.
The BATF can track the ownership of any gun, cradle to grave. Unless of course it's stolen and it goes off the radar.
John, you should know better, firearms aren't weapons. That is unless someone uses them against another person(s). I really hate that we tend to automatically think of firearms as weapons. In reality very, very few firearms have ever been used as weapons.
