ETS 125 SANDING PAD PROBLEM

I replace the pad when the sanding disc begins to fly off when I lift up the running sander, usually because that's the only time I notice a problem.

I do the same on replacing the pad > when it wheres out .

If I can chime in, I had a similar problem, then I bought what I believe some on this forum are calling an "interface pad" I call it the "Sacrificial pad" 

It is key to saving the full machine pads on the 125.  I just replaced my sacrificial pad the other day and it was after a ton of trim sanding (many hundreds of lineal feet) The main pad's hook and loop (velcro) was still in perfect shape, while the sacrificial pad's was essentially worn off.

I get replacements from Atlas tool in Toronto for around $6, so they are money well spent as the main pads are not cheap.

I am having a problem with my ETS 125 as well, and figured I'd ask here instead of starting a new thread. I am finishing a project made with soft maple. I am using the stock pad, with my CT22 turned down almost to the min suction. I started with 120, and moved up to 150 before staining, all using granat paper. I am finding that I am leaving lots of swirl marks. I am moving no faster than 1 inch per second as I've been reading, but still having problems..... Any suggestions?
I am staining the piece black to the swirl marks are very noticeable!

I am having the same issue. I have a festool ets 125 eq. I ran it for over a decade the foam bad dry rotted off the sander. I purchased a 195223 pa6 gf50/pur w-ht festool replacement pad from woodcraft it was fine for a little wile but in less than a year of light use the paper was falling off. The velcro seems really tiny. I really doubt its user error when im not doing anything different from the first pad. Doesn't matter the grit they all eventually fly off will sanding. It's definitely not a clogged velcro problem and I use a festool vac with the system. I'm fine buying another one as much as it sucks to do so but I want to be sure its not going to fail again so fast.

Are you using any of the mesh discs with the sander, as you need to use a protector or interface pad with them so they don't destroy the velcro.

If not, are you overheating the pad by dwelling too long in spots or applying too much downward pressure?
