ETS EC 125 with a 150 pad on it?

Sorry I am a little new to the forum scene so not 100% sure if this is the right spot to post.  So here goes.
I want to purchase a 6" sander and want one of the new ETS EC I have heard that it is possible to put a 150 pad on a 125. 
My question  is have any of you done this and if so is it essentially the same?  Does it change the stroke pattern and/or is there any down side?
I would love to have the ability of using both 6 and 5 paper any help would be greatly appreciated.

The 150 pad fits the 125 sander, the 125 pad will not fit the 150 sander...by design.

Check out the sanders...they are in fact for in all matters, the same sander.

One pad small, the other pad big.  [big grin]

If you're interested in a sander that takes both sizes also check out the Mirka Deros. I bought mine for the same reason and I really love it.

The 125 is basically a 150 with a different drive shaft. Same power, same weight, same speeds, same everything. There are only 2 different parts in the sander. The drive shaft assembly and the plastic “3” insert on the front/top of the machine.
