Extending standard CT Midi hose (sorry!)

Hi all.

I'm really sorry but after a couple hours here and on the Festool site I'm still confused by which hose I should buy to extend the standard hose (the 577159, I think) that came with my CT Midi. I'm hoping to get 10m total reach for cleanup jobs in narrow spaces where I can't fit the dust extractor.

The 201778 looks like it would work, but it's super expensive and I don't need the power cord option. Better suggestions would be much appreciated!

Get one of the cleaning sets with the 36mm hose.  The wands are useful.  I have both and find the metal one a bit too much for small spaces and use the tradesman more often than not.  Although I can see a use for the metal one if you're in a warehouse shop.

The 36mm hose can go over the extractor end of the new 27/32 (you should see a second ring inside the extractor end).  This extends the reach pretty far, while giving you the option to just use the 36mm alone for the worst cleanups.

I just use a Ridgid orange hose from the orange 'borg with a simple joiner component to extend the Festool hoses for something like this, although I don't prefer to use my CT extractors for cleanup. I have an inexpensive Ridgid shop vac for that. I have done this to extend the hose when using my tracksaw on the other side of my flattening/cutting table and it works great. (orange hose into the CT and the Festool hose on the tool end)

Thanks [member=72072]woodferret[/member]. I assume you mean one of these two?

Those sets are good value especially if you can buy them when on a deal somewhere but....

You'll still be 3m short!

There is a 7m hose (36mm) but it's expensive.
