Extrusion Question

The attached screen shot is from Page 2 of the Kapex Brochure...does anyone know: 1) What the extrusion is called that is holding the piece of melamine, and 2) Where I can purchase these?

I have no idea were to get it, but what I wana know is what the @#$% is that thing?
and why do you need it?
