MB40 Mystery Item

I have this set 577971 but it didn't come with anything where the red box is on the pic, other than the printed manual. It sure doesn't look like a manual in the product shot, taken from DM Tools in the UK. Anyone know what the mystery item is? Obviously the set doesn't come with the chucks so it may be an add-on outside of the set itself.

If you look at the very left edge it looks like a word or two is there?

I even opened a manual to check what the indices look like, so you're not going mad. It's bit cassettes as others have pointed out.
