I have a Festool CDD 12 with a normal  chuck fitted. Is it possible to use Fastfix chucks with this machine?

Yes, FastFix chucks are available for the CDD 12. I am not sure if there is any mounting difference between older and newer ones.

That is good news, as I need to replace my chuck anyway and was hoping to start using the Fastfix system.

Hi Twuntcat, welcome to the FOG. Nice to see another Dutchy here. If your CDD 12 looks like the picture below you already have a Fastfix chuck. The normal chuck is namely also a Fastfix chuck. Fastfix is the name of the connection between drill and chuck. But I guess you mean to ask if it fits a Fastfix centrotec chuck. If you can remove your normal chuck from the drill by hand then you can fit any Fastfix / Centrotec chuck that Festool offers.

I have a CCD 12 and everything is compatable.

My CDD 12 doesn't look like the picture. It looks like this:

It is not a fastfix chuck, and I dont know how I would remove it from the machine.
The CDD12 FX version looks just like mine, but has a Fastfix chuck and attachments supplied with it.
I think my machine predates these

[sad] Sorry Twuntcat but then it's not possible for you to use Fastfix chucks. That's why I asked if your CDD 12 looked like the picture because there were older models that didn't have Centrotec and Fastfix yet. Seems you have the older CDD12, newer models had the FX added to the description to show they had a Fastfix chuck.

To use Centrotec you should get a newer drill or use the adaptor below.
