Favorite double sided tape form template routing?

Just wanted to survey folks and see what their favorite double sided tape was for template routing?  I have some larger pieces that I'm going to be doing, so I wanted to get something a bit more reliable than the cheap stuff I've used up to this point.

I posted the link to the video, but it wasn't my video! If you want the short version, you use masking tape on each piece but use superglue on the masking tape to connect them together. I use this myself now and confirm it works spectacularly well compared to some of the double-sided tape I've used in the past. It's also much cleaner and easier to use.



He does take a while to get to the point (!) but in his defence, the tip is worth it! Give it a try and you won't look back.

I use Peachtree double sided tape PW3599 for template work. Been through a couple of rolls, not had a slip yet.

I use the double sided turners tape from Lee Valley it holds my 1/4" and 1/2" patterns very well. It comes in different thicknesses and sticks very well. I have used transfer tape but it doesn't work very well on open pored wood like oak.
The technique that Gary post the video about looks really good.

I've used 2P10 and painters tape but lately I've been substituting 2P10 with hot melt glue. You can also tack parts together with just hot melt and once you pop the pieces apart a little bit of rubbing alcohol releases the hot melt residue.

I've tried both ways but favour use of the accelerator; without it you just end up having to wait longer for the glue to set. But if you wanted to just try it out to begin with, the accelerator isn't necessary.
