Favorite Festool

This is a difficult question. I can not get rid of the three responses to it.
The uniqueness and design - Domino XL DF 700
For me (personal progress) - CMS TF 2200
Feeling out of work - ETS 150/3

[wink]

For me I think the RO125.it  was my first festool sander and has enabled me to achieve better finishes a lot quicker

I would have said the ts55 but to be honest we've always been able to break sheets down .even if it was with a skill saw and a ply straight edge

I hope, me a hard core fans will forgive. Regarding the saw will never forget this Holzher. Festool and Mafell not competitors for her.

That's ok, Holzher is permitted, Festool bought the company. [smile] Was good stuff indeed.

I always thought that the TS55 had to be my favorite Festool, the cut quality, ease of use and setup, and good dust collection.  But I have been using my trion barrel grip jig saw a lot lately, and I think I am leaning to this being my favorite.  I always hated jig saws, mostly the d handle version.  I always had an issue with seeing the cut line, being right handed and left eye dominate.  Plus the dust collection isn't bad.

So I have switched and found a new favorite.  Have others out there in FOG land had the same thing happen?

Festool tried to discontinue the Trion earlier this year and some retailers actually put them out on "sale". After too many complaints from customers about that decision Festool decided to continue with the PS-300, unfortunately back to it's normal price.  [wink] (All according to a Festool-rep.) So I totally agree, it's a good jigsaw and I have not found a reason yet to upgrade (downgrade?) it for a Carvex.

Honestly,

Its the tool Im using at the moment for the project I need to use it on.

OF2200 has long been my favorite, but the Domino XL is right up there in terms of engineering genius. I also like my stable of jigsaws and enjoyed the smoothness of the Trion last week - almost no vibration and a nice heft to it -- I seem to like it in terms of feel a little better than the Carvex. I also really like the DTS400 and RO150...and my C12 [big grin]!

Difficult one this...

Gotta be TS55 for sheer buzz when you first use one [big grin]
But my Trion still makes me grin everytime i use it!

I think the Sword Saw for the "Fun Factor" feeling [drooling] must be a favorite of mine.

Then again kapex,PDC etc etc are all good friends.

Think Jobsworths Quote if i can modify it:  "Its the FESTOOL Im using at the moment for the project I need to use it on." sums it up! [thumbs up]

Good topic!

"Do or do not. There is no try" in other words once bitten by the green monster..... [big grin]

My TS75, with out a question, if given the choice to walk away with only one tool this would definitely be the one, from 2" thick solid Oak  stair slabs to delicate Doug Fir door and window trim this is my go to saw, I love it.

I do love my TS. its better in all aspects than a worm drive with a guide board. but my favorite no. the domino yes, absolutely great, but it hasn't made me a ton of money yet. (it may never will, but thats ok because it makes things I want). CT has replaced my dyson. The rest of them I absolutely prefer over any of there old counter parts that some day i will get to my brother because i don't use them.

But the one.

I mean the ONE,

Is my Rotex. All of the others have replacements. Some of my tools may have equals, (certainly not better). But My rotex is bar non the best investment in festool i could have asked for. I only have a 150 at the moment. I may have blew my yearly tool budget on other Fez but the new year is damn close and a RO90 will be soon to find its spot in my quiver. an ETS may be a close follower.

Ha ha that's exactly  my point I got RO 125 then RO90 then ets 125

Yesterday or last nigh doing a instal it was a toss up between my Carvex and TS 75.

Nothing like the splinter free cuts of both machines even on stained and varnished birch plywood. And the factory like straight lines the TS produces are just invaluable!

It was, for almost ten years +/-, my ATF 55.  It was my very first Festoy.  Even tho it was so much better than any other circular saw I had used, i could not get it to do one bit of damage to THE SLIPPERY SLOPE.  Eventually, i upgraded to a TS REQ and that has taken over as my favorite.  But it still does not roughen up the slippery slope.  Ugh  [unsure]

Close on the heels are all of the Festoy clamps. they are ingenious the way they work into the system in so many ways.
