I had to find out on woodnet, unless I just missed here, that the price increases are coming Feb 1.  They aren't all that bad as a whole and some even came down.  I had to chuckle at some of the Neanderthals over there who constantly rag on Festool as simply too expensive, why does anyone buy this stuff, wah, wah, wah....If it makes life easier in the shop, more productive, more accurate and more fun, how does one assign a price to that?  There is saying, "the sweetness of low price is forgotten long before the bitterness of poor quality."  It certainly applies here.  No one likes price increases but they are fact of life everywhere it they won't keep me from acquiring a Festool when the need or desire arises.

My hairstylist hasn't changed her prices in 10 years.  Same with the yard guy.  I wouldn't be upset if they asked for a bit of an increase but if they don't ask, I don't offer.

If anything, my "stylist" should lower prices, lot less hair to cut these days.

Steve, it's stealth inflation, like getting a smaller chocolate bar for the same price!

Howard,

Unfortunately price increases for my services don't seem to be part of my customers' lives.

Peter

;D

The price increases shall continue until customer retention improves!
