Trying to get back into the profession in custom carpentry such as built-ins, small remodels, etc. That is why I am so heavily considering the Trion over the bandsaw at this time as it seems to have more future use.
I think a good bandsaw would be a much more useful tool for custom carpentry in the long term. Honestly any decent jigsaw is going to be able to get you close, but I don't see many people using jigsaws for resawing or joinery. Bandsaws really do not make a ton of fine dust, all but the 18"+ machines can be handled with a shopvac. Besides, if you get the Trion you are going to be kicking yourself in 6 months when the Carvex is finally released.
