Hey folks, looked around and maybe I couldn't find the topic in search but was hoping for some advice.

I set the depth on my 1400 to be fantastically tiny, because I'm trying to erode a thin layer off my plywood so I can glue on some laminate (to create a slippery surface that is perfectly level with the rest of the plywood sheet: think half covered, half not). I've noticed after I set the depth, there's random low spots and high spots and as far as I can tell, all the screws are quite tight. Any advice folks can give me? I've never adjusted the turrets.

My conclusions: Plywood is plywood, not level -- Fair statement, but I should expect to see only subtle variations, not large (1/16 & 1/32 vs 1/64?) OR Something's up with my router and I'm not able to figure it out =(

Finally, I bought the infinity tools 1.5" planer/dado bit, but it's way too big for the existing dust cover - any aftermarket ideas? I'm using the world's smallest bit right now and it's taking forever.
