Festool 36mm hose repair question

I shortened a 36mm hose and now I want to rejoin the ends. One hose has a rubber 36mm tool end on one end and the other has the vac connector. The other hose has a 36mm tool end on one end and just the raw spiral hose on the end I want to join.

This is a topic I don’t know much about so hopefully someone can clue me in to what the options are and what I need to buy.

I think the only way to do that without customizing is to put a vac end connector on both ends and use a D50 hose coupler. So basically it would just be an attachable extension hose.

Might be able to use the thread on portion of two tool end connectors and glue them / plastic weld them together.

Maybe the best option if you really want a single piece D36 is to sell the two pieces you have for Kapex hoses and buy the new style super flexible D36.
