Can the Festool 487925 Router Bit Systainer Foam pad be purchased separately?
I only want the insert.
One thing about these inserts I don't like is the way the holes are spaced. They only hold like 40 bits. I had to drill my own holes and almost doubled the amount of bits it holds(tons of straight and spiral bits).
The very best foam I have ever found , the stuff I used to customized my drawers in my shop, is at the link below. It's better than the Festool pad, but I want the perfect fit for the systainers I have laying around:
http://www.ptreeusa.com/routerAcc.htm#1044
# 1044 Foam Router Bit Tray and at only 2-1/4" square x 1-1/2" thick they can hold 100 bits, 50 ea 1/4" and 1/2". Accepts 8mm shanks as well.
