Festool banners/signs

Eric,

In my world that is called a keeper. My wife said she wanted to go to Germany and Italy. She said while I am there is there any Festool you want me to pickup or want me to tour and take pictures of? I said what is the maximum weight capacity of the plane?

2nd story... I am selling a bunch of stuff laying around that I ordered and never used. She says why are you selling all this stuff? I reply to buy an LR32. She asks is that the tool to make bookcases? I answer yes. She says why are you waiting, just order the damn thing.  :)

Nice, Eric. I did the same thing in my office with big 18x24" prints and wooden frames.

I can't speak to Festool stuff, but FOG stuff will be addressed after the Fogtainers are done.  I already have the go ahead and permissions.

It may be a better idea to have a run of fog stickers rather than systainers when you take into account import duties  customs charges shipping costs ect

I would love to do another Fogtainer project.  The memories from the last are fading, but at least once a week I remember how this forum rallied and had fun and was energized thru the participation of many - not me.  MacGyver - my pup - learned about blue boxes in his early days and he is three now.

I have had an idea for about a year.  Maybe it is possible now - it wasn't then.  I'll make an inquiry today.

Shipping charges to Europe and Australia were steep.  Europe was steeper.  And slower.

yeah shipping is steep.... but it's part and parcel of living OS.  I recently paid 45 pounds to have some large items shipped from the UK,

But in the end the cost of the Items + Shipping still worked out not much more than possible Australian Retail if they were available here but aren't.

Mike the problem is that fogtainers would sail past the uk on the way to the states only to be shipped all the way back accumulating vat and customs charges on

the way, after a sticker had been applied by Peter. it would be cheaper and probably more interesting to fly peter to the UK and have him apply the stickers here

That was how it ended up, but that wasn't the intention. The original plan was for the logo to be printed directly onto the systainers, by a company in the US. Unfortunately, it was discovered that the print quality would not be acceptable, hence the move to stickers.

In retrospect, Peter could have just shipped the labels, and the systainers themselves wouldn't necessarily have had to travel twice across the Atlantic, but by the time this was known the systainers were already in the US. As we all know, hindsight is 20/20...
