Just wondering if Festool Canada have their own importing form Festool Germany or do they only piggy-back off of America?
The reason i ask is if something (Vac-SYS) failed UL certification in the USA, could the Canadians bring it into north America instead?

I'll answer the primary question, which is one of product availability. Many of the tools are actually tested under the regulations provided by CSA rather than UL. Both regulatory agencies are interchangeable in the US and Canada. So, we can get CSA approval and it works in both countries. Likewise, UL approval works in both countries for our purposes.

Therefore, if we can't get a tool for the US market, we can't get it for Canada either.

Guys, look, it's not as if we aren't trying, and trying very hard at that, to get all of the tools to market. I can't put a dollar amount or man-hours count on it, but let's just say that a LOT of effort is put into this endeavor.

There is no Festool Canada.

Festool supports all their Canadian Distrubutors through the USA.
