Im not sure if this will help you or not, But festool demo's at the various dealers are pretty god in that the rep there can answer all your questions and demonstrate and let you play with the tools to o whatever you want to learn.
Also festool reps are available to help you. They've been known to go to your shop and let you try tools, demo tools etc. Ive called Allen and He is awesome.
Go to the festool use site lok at the bottom for festool regional days, put in your zip code and it will pull up the demo days.
In Touch Tools at Palm Springs last Dec had something like what your talking about. Some of the FOG guys whent and had a good time.
I went to a Festool end user class, It was great being trained by Steve on cabinet making and I plan on going to a Intro class next month. Im also going to a Regional a festool demo at a local dealer and a Katz roadshow in a few months.
The info is out there.
But to tell you the truth, The main reason I went to the end user class was because I was having some difficulty in calibrating / adjusting the MFT3 and the parallel guides .
I couldnt get a square straight cut for the life of me. Steve helped me with the issue and more. I could of called a factory rep and he would of helped me with my issues.
I plan taking the as many of the classes I can because, well they,re fun and informative and I like talking to the other Festool afficiandos. PLus for me its a cheap vacation. BIL/SIL live in LV so I can take the family , stay there and make a mini vacation out of it.
Plus its just plain awesome walking into the holy shrine (festool training center)
But back to your post , all of my questions that I had could of been answered and helped by a local festool rep
