Festool Connect 2013?

Hey Festool leaders!  I'm starting to think about locking down a room for JLC 2013 and am wondering if Festool is considering another Connect type event?  I think that last year was an awesome way for a lot of us to come together as one collective group that would not have happened just at the JLC event. I personally am appreciative for what you guys put together as it gave me a chance to meet and talk with a lot of new people that I may have not otherwise had an opportunity to do!

Please consider this a request for a similar follow up event for next year!

I would be pretty intersted in a festool connect event for 2013, I will be coming down from boston and would like to look into booking hotels/ etc ahead of time.
  please let us know what we need to do to make this event happen again.

Sam, you just beat me to reviving this thread. I know that JLC has recently sent out info regarding the Providence live event and I'm sure anybody who's attending will be wanting to coordinate time off, travel plans and lodging as well.

I too am hoping that the Connect event will happen again this year, so my vote is in!  Please let us know what we can do to make this happen!!!

JLC must have sent something out this morning because I've gotten multiple inquiries about it this morning.

Yes, we will be hosting another Connect event this year! And, hopefully, I'll actually make it this year since I was under the weather last year.  [smile]

It will be the day before the show, March 21st. I'll have more details soon as well as a method to RSVP. So, stay tuned.

Thanks for the reply Shane!  I'm really looking forward to having the opportunity to see everybody again!  I really enjoyed the event and the chance to meet a lot if people that I may not have otherwise had the chance to meet!

Well this again will be a great day, For having been there last year I can say it was a great day of seeing new Festool arrivals, getting some onsite demo's and even better meeting face to face with so many awesome FOG members.
To anyone who can make this event it will be one you won't forget for sure

I sneakily signed up at the last minute last year and had fun seeing someone on a bench wearing a FOG hat and asking him what that meant.  I had a blast at the Connect event and also all the days there.  Currently I plan to attend.

Tip:  For those who live on the East Coast from Virginia to the the North - check out traveling by train.  Of course those further South could also travel by train, but even I have a limit on how long I could sit in one place.  From Richmond I can travel cheaper via train than I can via my gas guzzling truck and let someone else do the driving.  The train station in Providence is about a ten minute walk to the convention center and you will pass restaurants and places you might want to check out after hours.

Sounds like it will be fun again.  Can't wait for more details!
