You're not invited.  [poke]

If I can make it, I would love to swing by and check our your collection of old iron, buddy.

Prost! Here's to Oktoberfest(ool)!  [big grin]

I should be settled in to my new, new shop by then.

Hoping to have a molder and a SLR up and running too.

It's about 2 1/2 to Festool HQ from here.

It's a win/win for me.  My in laws live outside of Toledo Ohio.  I can go to connect and my wife gets to see her parents.  Plus I have free housing.  That makes it a win/win/win!!!

Hey Jim,

I hear you on that and I have been going there every year since way back when it was a dealer only event and it grew in to the Connect event of the last few years and I must say, Providence RI is quite a beautiful city to visit. But this is a natural progression for Festool, as it's in their home and it's centrally located - ensuring way more customers and potential customers can and will attend. I'm going for sure and hope you can too.

I would like to be included. Just 4 hour for me. Do we have a date?

Stay tuned for more information.  Date has not been established yet.  It is anticipated to be in the second half of the year.

Might be just me, but I really wish that the date for Festool Connect would be adjacent to Woodworking in America (WIA).

WIA this year is happening September 16-18, in Cincinnati, OH – which is about a 2 hour drive from Festool HQ in Indiana.

For those of us making a long trip to get in the area (I'm an 8 hour drive away), it would be much easier to justify the travel if both events were scheduled in close proximity.

Just my thoughts... although I realize there may be other factors influencing the schedule so I'll understand if it can't work out this way.

There really needs to be an east coast and west coast one. "Central" means close to nobody. The middle of the country is quite vast and cities are way far apart. So if 90% of your attendees are flying in anyways...why not put it close to at least some people?

Or maybe switch it up every year, make it a fun "vacation" for people to see other parts of the country.

Sorry to tell you guys, but Indiana is called the cross road of America for a reason.

While noteworthy if you're a transcontinental truck driver, for any other occupation, it's only reasonably accessible by air for 98% of the population.
