I currently have the 3.5mm bit (492523) and was thinking about adding the 4.5mm version (492522).  The 4.5mm version is actually $10 cheaper, which seems odd.  Does the 4.5mm bit have a flat milled like the 3.5mm to help the set screw keep the bit from rotating?  If not, I guess that might explain the price difference.

Yes - the bits and mechanism to raise the countersink is exactly the same - same flats and set screws.

My understanding is that they are the same/similar.

Honestly, I wish they made one smaller than 3.5mm...I use a lot of small fasteners (#7 trim head) that I need to pre-drill and countersink for.

I have them both and not sure the larger bit would fit the smaller counter sink.

I also wish the made smaller bits. 2mm and 2.5mm would be great sizes.

I have one (cant remember which one), but the way that they adj the countersink, Its really all I need
