Oldie, with reduced prices comes reduced liability for the seller and increased risk for the buyer. That's a plain old widely accepted law of economics.
If you want full warranty, take my advice and go to a dealer and buy yourself a brand new tool for full price.
But you'd rather prefer not to, that's why you're interested in this eBay offering. I can understand that. I'd like the same and many others with us. But while I understand that lower prices mean a smaller package, you still want the full monty. Well, that's just not how it works. Not with Festool, not with any company. It is unrealistic to expect otherwise.
Just like it is unrealistic of you to think this would somehow hurt Festool's rep. What, they sell off a dosen used/demo tools with lower warranty and suddely everybody thinks they stink? Come on. This is common practice. No one cares a rat's hiney about that. In fact, loads of people would jump on the opportunity and praise themselves lucky.
