Don't mean to hijack your thread, but here's a little heads up. Wood Carver Joe Leonard who teaches woodcarving once a month at Woodcraft will be teaching a class there on the same day. He has been carving since the '70's and he does phenomenal work. Some of his carousel horse carvings were done for Euro-Disney and a few years ago he had work in the "Mythic Creatures" exhibition that was at various museums across the country including Cleveland's Museum of Natural History.
The reason I mention all this is Joe usually has a book with photos of his creations set up at the store for visitors to look at. It's worth taking a moment after or before Larry's demo to give it a look. Here's a link to his website.
