Festool drill bit sets

[member=23193]PreferrablyWood[/member] which sets would you recommend getting, which have you gotten most value from?

Also has anyone run into troubles with having metric based drill bits in the US?

Most stores I looked at would not ship to USA

I'll look into it from here. A Tip I have often contacted companies about shipping that once you have explained your situation, given your details, perhaps over the phone they usually agree to ship..

Don't let it intimidate you that the texts are German, use Google translate, get a real person on the phone although some of the older guys might only speak german there are usually younger people that do.

I think because of the exchange rate right now it might be worth your while pursuing this route if they aren't available in the USA..

Main selling point for me is that with Centrotec bit sets you almost never have to use the tool-less chuck.

If you need imperial then try the UK dealers.

I like the Wood Bradpoint bits, the HSS sets with the replaceable bit holders, the Zobo bits set, you can see them in my signature.. If they offered a PDC hammer drill in the states I'd recommend the Stone Set.

Countersink bits are very sharp solid

It's not to say that you can't get comparable bits to the Festool, it's mainly the Centrotec System that makes it interesting..
