Hi, I am sure this is a stupid question, but are the edge guides for the OF2200 and of1400 compatible between routers or do I need separate edge guides for each router?  Thanks

The base of the Edge Guide is the same, but as you can see from the picture below, the top part that the guide rods fit into is different.
The one at the back is for the OF2200. The rods are spaced further apart.

The question isn't stupid , but the answer is .  [wink]

Clever how Festool forces you to a separate edge guide for each of their routers huh? ::)

It's just flabbergasting that there are 4 guides for 4 router when they like to harp on about their "system" approach.

Funny how non "system" companies like Porter Cable and Bosch can have one edgeguide that fits multiple routers across their lineups.

You may check EKAT though, to see if you can get the rod carrier as a separate piece to swap between the bases DI shows.

Even funnier how edge guides from one 'non-system' company can fit
another brand. My Milwaukee and PC routers can use the same guides.

You guys are all funny [big grin] I love the cynicism with wit about Festool's marketing propaganda.  So I guess the question now is how to find the "Upper" part of the each guide to minimize "parts".  Gaahhh.  Thanks everyone.
