I have a few questions about the 499809 edge trimming bit. Can I use this bit normally with my OF1400 router? As it is quite expensive is it possible to buy replacement inserts of different radiuses on the same bit?

Thanks for your help,
Tilen.

Festool does not physically manufacture these cutters. I don't know exactly which manufacturer of these cutters is, but you can purchase an identical one (in a different box) for much cheaper:
IGM cutter
You can also buy profile replacement rounding knives there.

1. Absolutely

2. I don't see why not as long as the edge of the insert aligns properly relative to the guide bearing.

FWIW...replacement Festool inserts are:
3mm...500369
2mm...500370
1.5mm...500371
1mm...500372

That's just the standard Festool router bit holder Michael. The plastic box that they use for packaging.
