Kudos to FestoolUSA in proceeding with hands-on training at their USA HQ! I look forward to when they begin to offer basic overview courses and greater in depth project based courses. Based on my experience as a participant in the April 2007 "fantasy camp" in Nevada, I am confident those chosen to attend this Indiana course will learn a lot, have an unforgettably great time, and make some new friends! (No, I do not work for Festool.)
I don't know how many of us have applied for this event, but would it be possible to notify all who entered as to their status, either yea or nay. I know I'll be waiting to hear, the sooner the better.
Willie Wonka emailed, I have a golden ticket. If weather is good, I will ride from Chicago. Convoy, anyone else from the area? Sorry to those who got bad news, honestly. I don't tend to get lucky like this.
I was also one of the lucky ones! I'll be going from Akron and plan to make a pit stop in Columbus to see my daughter coming and going. Thanks to Festool for this opportunity!!!
I replied within a couple minutes of the mention of the training - but - Charlie I am not. I double checked all my Systainers for golden tickets but not meant to be. I was really pumped about this opportunity to learn from the builders of these fine tools and wanted to take a couple of mine with me to be verified that it was either me or the tool at fault for my results. (well we all know it is my fault)
:'( :'(
Looks like I'll be joining you guys. Looking forward to the fun.
May I suggest that we open this up to the whole forum, and take questions or suggestions with us to Indiana? I know I have a laundry list of questions, thoughts, and concerns. Maybe some will overlap. maybe not. Let us know.
To most of the people that got selected, where have you guys been? I haven't seen you guys before. At first I thought all you guys were new members because I haven't seen your name before. The more participation here the better! I really enjoy this forum and what everyone has to say.
