Whenever I see "guide bush", I immediately think "steering shrubbery".
Are they not called bushings? Do the Brits also have "roller bears"?
I continually get a kick out of the "protectors of the language"...
Steering shrubbery reminds me of some of the directions I received years ago before easy navigation... I was once told to go to the street with all the trees and turn at the 2-story house with the porch. Another time, I was told to go down the gravel road and turn right at the barking dog, and then go a ways down and veer left at the big red bush, the "steering shrubbery". I actually found both places.
