We are going to release the first three videos shortly and when Peter James punches out at ToolNut/FestoolProducts, we will have pics of the demos too. Thanks for the patience, Charles has been working round the clock on this, Eric

I wanna say a huge thanks to Charles for putting in so much work getting these videos up. Next year we are paying a pro to do it. You are the best Charles, Eric

After further review, Im gonna be grey by 40 and I am far too fat for the camera.

Well, no one has said it yet, so I will. I think BuilderBob did a great job. I know thats an easy box to make, but real strong. I held the box today, Bob left it here, and it stayed together as if it were glued, but it wasnt. I think if you had Rick Christophersons Domino jig you could off set the Dominoes for a better look. I know Bob just got one, so Im gonna wait to see how that works for him and probably get one.

I would love to hear what people thought of the Vac Dogs? You couldnt see it as well on camera, but the boards suck down to the table with a lot of force. Did you guys think it was cool? I sure do, Eric

In addition to taking pictures and videos at the event, I brought a couple of things there.

I brought a telescope and mount that are in the final stages of fabrication. After machining a worm gear or two and developing the control software, I will be able to control it from my iPad.

I have organized a few pictures to describe its construction and placed them in the following set on Flickr:

Hatbox Telescope and Mount

I also brought one of my Second Generation Lap desks, a prototype desk, and two examples of my latest design. The latest model sports a much larger variation in angle for the reading/writing surface, the ability to easily mount accessories to the lap desk, machined components for the latching mechanism, wooden hinges and a secret compartment. A pictorial view of the lap desks is available on Flickr:

The house party was a great success and well worth the trip!

Eric, thanks for getting the ball rolling  by picking a date and just going for it.  You did a great job putting it all together as people started offering up demonstrations, door prizes, stuff to show, and everything else.  With plenty of time to eat, talk, discuss, etc between demos the format worked very well.

Thanks to all those who contributed and also those who showed up to partake. Without attendees it would not have been nearly as much fun.

It was great to meet some new faces and talk with previous acquaintances as well.

Eric, was a good host. The Chinese restaurant, and Eli Cannon's were both excellent!

Anyone who has not seen Charles' telescope in person is missing out on something very special. The vids and pics are nice but the real thing is better.

Eric, thanks for great party. It was pleasure to meet FOG pals in person.
Systainer organization stand was very impressive. I've tried to get some pictures, but surprisingly only few were with acceptable quality.
Bow clamps are impressive.  Festool reps are very helpful.

Benchdog systeiner.

Believe it or not that bench dog Systainer is Sal's not mine.  I am not sure if he has enough dogs  [big grin]

Peter, Are you going to add names to the pictures?  (maybe you've already said)

I plan on it. Brain turns on at seven am lol. Just wanted to get them up. Will edit and add names later.

I have not had the chance to send a note to Charles yet, but he "allowed" me to assist (the heavy looking on part) in the assembly.  Believe me, it is far more awsome when you realize how well coded he has every part and the ease with which he puts a pile of small pieces together into that awsome structure.

To Charles:  thanks for the chance to see you at work.  I have seen your work in the past, but never really watched you at assembly time.
Awsome.  You are a very patient and multi talented man.

Thank you to everyone who helped put this together, but especially Charles and Peter, bc now the world can see. I hope you guys like what you see, Eric

Rockin' good show... Eric, thanks so much for all your hard work... and for having me. You did an awesome job putting it all together and it worked out seamlessly, like a choreographed dance (the kind I don't mind watching ;)) It was a pleasure meeting everyone,  great bunch of guys... I hope everybody liked what they saw.  I learned a ton as well.  Charles and Peter, thanks for all your hard work as well documenting.  Great stuff.  The telescope is mind-blowing in person.  As is Eric's very well organized shop...  to say nothing of the unbelievably beautiful setting.  Qwas... love the dogs.  Awesome work, I see tons of possibilities.

And thanks to all who attended.  It was an honor to play a small part.  If it should happen again I'll be there... and you should too!

Craig, thanks for coming. I really like your product a lot and am sure I could find dozens of uses for it in my shop. Call me when you are out of the woods. Believe it or not, we are already planning for 2013 and demo spots are gonna be scarce. I know there a lot of well know demonstrators who want in. I know people would like to see the clamps in conjunction with the bench though, so im sure we can work something out, Eric
