Evening I'm new so bare with me

Basically when you select 0-45 I get a gridding sound @ 43 degrees
The fence isn't in the way it's gridding at the back but when I select 45+- I get no gridding
Very strange iva emailed festool buts it's only 6 months old

This shouldn't be happening.  I've seen a couple of threads before on this problem with the Kapex, so it's not totally unfamiliar.  I forget, though, what, if any fix there was, other than sending it in to service.  You'll probably want to give them a call on Monday.

Got it back today still not been fixed they replaced a gear but hasn't solved the issue
Going to give them a call tomorrow

Ok spoke with them today and they will take it back but the  festool tech said
They do grid in general from dust?

Dust doesn't  grid and the saw is very clean

See photo attached is that normal?

I have the same exact issue.
Very little use on my saw. 1 kitchen and 1 closet shelf set up.
Please update when you get it resolved.

It appears from reading the patterns of your posts that you are not believing in your Kapex.  My suggestion is that if you feel that there are issues with your Kapex:

1.  If less than thirty days old - return it and try another and then if not happy return and move to another brand: or
2.  Contact Festool, document the issues you have, and arrange to have your saw shipped back for repairs.

These approaches will get you to the point of being comfortable making a living without the second guessing.

Sincerely offered.

Peter

Maybe one of the two people in this post complaining of problems could post a video. That way we could better understand if it's a real problem/fault or if it's just a quirk of the saw.

I tried to post video but it would not upload because it is mp4 format

Upload the video to YouTube - you can make it "unlisted" if you do not want your subs to see it. Then copy the URL and paste it into a post here.

Still working on the U tube thing.....I'm a carpenter Jim not a tech savy geek.

spoke to Festool today. Saw going back for repairs. they were great.
The OP of this thread had his "repaired" 2x and still has the issue.

Sent my saw in for service to see if the Grinding sound could be fixed (also have issues on cutting true 90 when head is beveled).
Recieved saw back real quick......NO CHANGE in grinding sound.
Other issues fixed.....very thankful for that....great turn around time of 9 days from drop off till delivery.
The OP of this thread sent his saw back 2x and never got this noise fixed either.....
I am going to have to double down on the u tube effort to see if someone can tell me if the grinding sound is normal.
