For lubricant on the spring, use Garage Door Lube. It is formulated for redundent springs. Lubricate the gaurd roller and linkage towrds the rear of the head. It does contain silicone so be careful with its application.

ProGold Lubricant PG2000 - posted September 18, 2014 - not available as Garage Door Lubricanthttps://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_trksid=m570.l1313&_nkw=Prolink+ProGold+PG2000+Lubricant&_sacat=0

I'd like to see a video of where on the Kapex 120 to put the
WD-40 Specialist 300g High Performance White Lithium Grease (Garage Door Lubricant - DGL)

Doesn't have to spray just point to where it goes with a screw driver.

Do not use the lithium, grease will hold dust and particulates.

I agree with Tom, I use lithium or other thick grease only where it was originally used, say in a gear housing for a drill. . I use WD-40 "Dry Lube" on most moving parts that are exposed to dust. Please remember that WD-40 original is "water displacement" and is not meant for long term lubrication.

The photo is probably upside down.

Sorted.

Colin from Festool Melbourne.
Excellent response time and content as always.

The circle is the original place Colin suggest where I first tried.
Didn't help the first three tries.

The arrow is where I tried to apply the wd40.
Then tested the plunge release.

And worked straight away.

Could have taken the WD40 a few seconds to lubricate the roller

Thank you so much for posting this - greetings from Perth, I've been doing up two KS120's and this fixed this part of both of them :)
