Festool LEYSYS-FT1 spirit level

Congrats- another FT product not available in one of the largest consumer markets. So frustrating.

I'm assuming you mean the US, where I agree, many desirable Festools can't be easily obtained. However, this level shows up on my Amazon page. It may be spendy and hard to find in stores, but it's available with the click of a button.

Well, I got one - and I reeeeeaaalllly like it!  [thumbs up]

First few tests it seems very accurate in both levels compared directly to my Stabila and Hultafors aluminium levels. So I wouldn’t hesitate to grab it for any situation (given it’s length of course)

- What a pleasant surprise!
It feels heavy (and are..solid piece of aluminium) in the hand with really high quality feel to it.

It’s got etched scales in Metric and Imperial (On each side) starts at zero at the end so you can bump it right into something and read out at the scale - Also accurate compared to a ruler I know is accurate, both Metric and Imperial (Yes [member=44099]Cheese[/member] also against my Starret.. [big grin]) Which makes it a useful ruler as well. It has a convex bottom and a flat top too, so it’s not completely rounded at the top.
It’ll even double up as a straight edge.
The green buttons are spring loaded and this even strengthen the feeling of thoughtfulness and quality.

So my advice, if you are thinking of it - get it!

Thanks for that [member=71478]FestitaMakool[/member] ...that's really good to know. Just today I'm in the new garage and thrashing around looking for a level and realize all of the Stabila's are in the basement... [sad]  I didn't need a 6 footer or an 8 footer... I just needed a short, accurate level.  [big grin]

It would have been so nice to pull that out of the handle of one of the 20+ Systainers that are now in the garage.  [big grin]

I'm ordering one tomorrow.  [thumbs up]

Delivery date...sometime in the future.  [eek]

Glad you felt inspired! [big grin]
Yes, exactly - even the ones (shortest I have) at 600mm (60cm/24”) are often way too long and unwieldy. I’ve thought about some of the shorter Stabila’s or even a Torpedo level. Except some torpedo levels most are clunky big.. so indeed this are definitely in the category very compact.

I cannot se any reason why this isn’t showing up in the US. I noticed here that it wasn’t exactly before schedule - it took some time before it was in stock, and that was recently.

Converted to USD mine came in at $60 including 25% tax. Not cheap - but so far most things are right - And it’s made for the Systainer handle - so it’s not typically made for commercially sales.
Some other Festool items are “Rebranded” and in Festool livery.

(By the way, I bought “Felo” Torx drivers today: Livery was black handle with red accents just as Felo’s own, but it says “Wisent” instead - those 4 drivers was $18 - and the same drivers as in the Festool limited driver/wrench set)

It has the outdated units on one side.. so I guess it eventually will be sold in the US.

Honestly, I never thought to just check Amazon directly because as far as I can tell through a product search it’s still not posted on festool USA.

I have several rulers from my dad that are divided into 10th of an inch and 12th of an inch. I love handing one to someone, the pause, the scrutiny, then the "what is this?!"
